‘Elite Plaza’ complex on Khorenatsi street. Owner – ‘Elite Group Ltd’, constructed by ‘Avalon Ltd’ construction company in 2007-2010.
This building is obviously inspired by the latest examples of high-rise architecture in Dubai and other Middle-Eastern business centers. In its scale and aesthetics, this structre has purpousefully invaded and dominated the existing urban environment of Yerevan’s city centre. It is visible from almost every point in the city and has forever altered the famous view onto mount Ararat. Unrelated to the city’s multilayered architecture in any way, this building also has very poor aesthetic qualities. Not only are the forms of the building overwhelming and heavy, but also the colour scheme, the only purpose of which seems to be to separate itself from the rest of the built environment and bring attention to itself from every possible angle.
'Էլիտ Պլազա' համալիըը: Պատվիրատու` 'Էլիտ Գրուպ' ընկերությունը, կառուցող` 'Ավալոն' շինարարական ընկերությունը, 2007-2010: Այս շենքը ակնհայտորեն ներշնչված է Դուբայի և Արաբական երկրների նորագույն կառուցապատումներով: Իր ծավալով, էսթետիկայով կառույցը ասես դիտմամբ մխրճվել ու նվաճել է Երևանի կենտրոնի արդեն վաղուց ձևավորված ճարտարապետական տեսքն ու միջավայրը: Այն տեսանելի է քաղաքի համարյա բոլոր տեսանկյուններից և ընդմիշտ խախտել է դեպի Արարատ լեռան համայնապատկերը: Քաղաքի կայացած ճարտարապետական մթնոլորտի ու ոճի հետ բոլորովին չառնչվող նախագիծը բացի այդ նաև շատ ցածր գեղարվեստական արժանիքներ ունի: Ծանր և ճնշող են ոչ միայն ծավալները այլև գունային գամման որի միակ նպատակն է առանձնանալ և աչք զարնել բոլոր տեսանկյուններից:
